I was just wondering if you know about this particular ace of the Battle of Britain.

I found him in a book I read once. First I stared in disbelief and then, I suppose, I started to laugh :D Either there were some Biggles-readers in his squadron, who nicknamed him seeing the opportunity, or he was just extremely fortunate with all his (nick)names!
